A good architectural solution would be to capture the MSGID when you put the message to the XMIT queue and transmit that in the alternate method. Leave the messages on the XMIT queue and let them go through. Let the receiver then determine what are dups and what are not. You probably already have

That is a good idea. I forgot about that. I have to include that in my commands that run the QMGRSAVE. But the script I needed was after they restored the box from backup tape. Running the runmqsc with the SAVEQMGR output would probably not hurt but I didn't want anymore going on that didn't have

If you want to be able to do this, your SCSQLINK library has to be LPA, not Linklist. IBM does document their recommendation that this library now be in the LPA rather than linklist. It might have made it clearer though if they changed the name of the library to SCSQLPA.
