Another important thing to note is the folder sections must be aligned on 4
byte boundaries. i.e you may need to pad folder entries to make them align.

I think it's true ;-)
The log parameters do pertain to linear logs, most noticeably for large or

ms0i (mqauth52) *should* work on WMQ 5.3 but you're probably better off using
amqoamd -s.
The likely reason you got an empty list is because all your authority entries
are for 'mqm', which ms0i won't output by default. Use the -a(ll) switch to
have it include 'mqm' entries in it's output.
Hi T. Robb,
It's been a while, but here's what I'm thinking (w/o the requisite peek at the
manual so take it easy on me if i mispeak).
None of the peer-supplied fields are accessible until you're called with
MQXR_INIT_SEC. MQXR_INIT just means the channel is getting ready to start
and you
the initial
security flows.

Reddy,
I'm not terribly familiar with MQAX but did you include the MQOO_INQUIRE
option on your queue open call?

other wrench in there by mistake.

Yea, after noticing the Windows version is 5.3 and AIX 5.2, I'd also guess
that's the most likely scenario. The v5.3 MQExplorer might be sending all
parameters instead of the ones changed and would include things like the
SSL parms which 5.2 wouldn't understand.

definitely speculate that it is sending fully-loaded PCF messages
including new 5.3 thingies that have no corresponding identifiers on 5.2.

exits are probably a
good bet now if you can get data from the MCA API calls but any exit might
be far too much work for what you're after.
Hopefully, the preceding response was somewhat accurate and helpful,

It requires perl. The windows-aware version uses some windows-specific
perl modules to poke around in the registry for the MQ install path and
when determining whether an entity is a group or user.

. The drawback to
this is you have to start the qmgr with the desired environment set but
you can create the tables on your laptop or some test qmgr so it shouldn't
be a big deal.
