Hi,
I have a number of
queue managers on different z/OS systems.
We have a client
program on windows that will connect to any one of these (depending on which
back-end service it wants) via MQCONN('queue_manager')
I want to provide a

Hi Didi,
Whilst we never got around to actually running 5.3.1 on OS/390 2.10 in
production (the upgrade to z/OS 1.4 got in just before it) we did test
that combination and didn't have a problem. 5.3.1 is supported on OS/390
2.10. Might want to check the more recent fixes for any incompatibility

Hi,
has anyone got an
working example of a CHAD exit for the OpenVMS platform. Its not my platform,
but I'm clustering my z/OS queue managers with OpenVMS queue managers and they
need a exit to prevent my message exit settings being propagated to their side.

I think there's a feature in 1.5 that collates all lines from a
multi-line message before routing them to the console. I suppose if it
thinks it's a multi-line message and hasn't received what it considers
to be the end of the message it will hang on to it, but I don't believe

Joe,
This is pretty usual for tasks running under USS on the mainframe. As
the control task creates new tasks under its control (in this case
execution groups) a number is just appended to the end. You don't really
have any control over it, it just does it. It's not sepcific to the
broker other

Hi,
The WBI-MB documentation states that for java user-defined nodes on a z/OS broker the .jar file should be installed in the install_dir/lil directory instead of the install_dir/jplugin as on UNIX. However a instal_dir/jplugin directory
Dave,
I suspect you have to do a MQCONN each time. Maybe a good question for
the IMS List server, you may find some has done it before or can give
you some advice.
Have you looked at the IMS data propagator product, this provides a data
capture exit that allows you to do asynchronous data

purelyout of interest, when you say "on the distributed platforms",
does that indicate that WBIMB running onthe mainframe will work
differently in this respect ?

Hi Siva,
The X2 return code means the first ISRT call to the altpcb is not a SPA.
In a conversational txn you must isrt the SPA first then the message.
Its the trigger monitor that's doing the insert and I'm not sure that
the supplied trigger monitor (CSQQTRMN) supports that or how a
