snmpv3 trap is working for me when I configured agent[switch] local engine
id[0x8b8503e0071bc9413c], in snmptrapd.conf of my
workstation/vm(host)

option, while the snmpd alerady had SNMPCONFPATH configured. ( Although both
were pointing to the same path ). Once i removed the -c option from command

SNMPv3 uses SNMPv2 traps and inform requests - it doesn't
introduce new PDUs for notifications. The behaviour of both of
these is exactly the same as for the SNMPv2c equivalents.
(Although the SNMPv3 administrative mechanisms may involve a
certain amount of faffing about before the basic
SNMPv3 basically concentrates on defining an administrative framework.
The fundamental protocol operations are exactly the same as SNMPv2.

and I would like to know if its possible to register a callback routine to
be notified if the INFORM generated a timeout (for instance because the trap

I have one question: when an inform times out, snmpd reports the following
error:
snmpd: send_trap: Timeout
Would it be possible to print also the PDU contents that couldn't be sent
(perhaps there is a correspondig -D flags) ?.
This would facilitate diagnosis.

(5.2.1.2), it seems that I have timeout=1s and nretries=0. I'd like to tune
