Re: [[newbie] Blocking websites from displaying in Konqueror?]

Thanks for the tip on Junkbuster. I used to use it but it definitely doesn't work for some sites. I'm not sure why. Wouldn't this be an awesome feature for Konq? Have a menu where you can list domains that should never ever be visited? It seems like it would be a really easy feature to add.

[newbie] Blocking websites from displaying in Konqueror?

2001-12-07 Thread Dr. Evil
I have a question: There are some websites which I never want to browse or load from, ever. Is there a way to tell Konqueror to never fetch anything from a certain domain? Specificly, I never want Konq to fetch anything from doubleclick.net for any reason. I just have no interest in anything

Type /sbin/ifconfig. Is the lo interface up? Yeah, but it has no addr. I got it working by doing this: ifconfig lo addr 127.0.0.1 and then localhost works, printing works, etc. Let me point out that the Mandrake net config tool is very very broken. Most of the time I try to start it, it

[newbie] Devanagari fonts for Mandrake?

Tom, other than gaming what uses do you see for Windows? I've been looking forward to scrubbing it from my hd's, but your comment gives me pause. As far as I know, for most users, there is no use aside from gaming, and even for gaming, there are native Linux games, and apparently quite a few

[newbie] Any hope for Java on Linux?

2001-08-22 Thread Dr. Evil

I am currently using Mandrake with StarOffice. I can create and print documents easily from Kword, but StarOffice does a much better job importing MS documents, so I would like to be able to print from that. However, I can't print from it. Also, when I save the documents as Postgscript, the
