The other week somebody posted a link to a page with advice on how to
get connected to the Internet using Linux. I stupidly clicked on "delete"
before I realized that I could really use that kind of information. If
somebody could please repost that link I would be very grateful.
before installing the rpm, go to a xterm session, cd to the directory that
has the RPM you want installed and try doing this.
rpm -qipl ..rpm |more
this will show you just about everything about the rpm.

Actually when the LI pops up it usually means that the /boot part of Linux
is no install within the first 1024 cylinder of the hard drive. Take a

installed a clean 5.3 install and upgraded all the rpms as told except the
kernel had to be done -ivh not -Uvh . Any way this is what happened
