Jeff, I'm sure it must be something simple too. Let me clear up one point of confusion: the whole computer goes into power conservation, this is not just a problem of the video card. When it goes to the next step of power saving shutdown there is no getting Linux back up without cutting

ive had to pull the plug on linux a couple times, usually from trying the gnome gui or sawmill, but i dont think it really hurt my system at all
