well, I just read on some site about changing /etc/hosts and adding your machines name, so I did it. Apache is up and running. I am getting a no virtual host name error though. What directory do the html files go into?

I'd do it the really secure way... create a user for him on your machine.. install and run the openssh server.. tell him to download to search for and download a free program called ixplorer its a secure ftp client, then all he needs to do is enter your IP address or whatever you resolve back
