yes I am. With the 2.2.17 kernel the option is PPro (pentium pro) but I
noticed with the 2.4 kernel that there is one more level of optimization
called K7. I juist haven't been able to build a 2.4 kernel that works
yet ;-(

i think p4 is good, my desktop is a p4 1.4ghz, but i read somewhere that 1.4 ghz arent too compatible with linux unless you have the latest kernel...so get the latest version of the distrobution you prefer so you'll be less likely to not have an incompatible computer, so either go with the amd or p
