Thanks for the suggestion Dennis. It really is the best way to go in most cases but I actually don't like the OEM clutch although I can appreciate how long it has lasted. I would go OEM if it were a difficult task to change just so I know I wouldn't have to worry about it for atleast another 23

Don't order anything until you have a big picture of what you need. Remove the head cover and examine all the parts. Don't disassemble the cover yet. Look for worn, pitted cam lobes and followers. The cover gasket is a "string" affair, pre-formed. It does run on all four ? Once the head is off,

Since you can't change the swept area, I'd go with an increase in P/SI. As it is an oil-bath clutch, the thinnest oil makes for the best bite and clean breaking when released. That's where MMO makes a difference. I have no first hand knowledge of KG stuff but have heard good things about them.

.060 good to know. Well put. I call the "faced" plates friction plates and the other plates separators. The KG plates are steel faced with Kevlar. If they were 100% kevlar they wouldn't last a mile :p I use what is available to me locally Castrol 4T 10W-40 MMO. Should be adequate right?
