Hi Hans Aditya
Please be patient as I am not a developer just someone who writes
documents.
I discovered the integral symbols starting at the double integral
are now composed by repeating the normal integral symbol
n-times. However in an earlier email I commented that they didn't
look right
all the existing short names.
As a start, I think that we should support all full names in mathml.
Someone has already gone through the painful process of having a consensus
on the symbol names, so lets just use that. We can worry about the more
obscure symbols later.
Will it for example
Hi,
In a previous email I commented that the integral symbols, when using the
unicode font Cambria or Asana,
don't look ok. It has to do with the way e.g \iint, \iiint etc are
constructed. Whether or
not the symbol is present in the unicode font, the tex macro \repeatintegral
is used
(fallback
at runtime.
So, if a the library aborts while you are calling a function, then
luatex aborts --- and you can't manage this situation.
Now, if your library declare a symbol that is also defined by luatex
or if you library has a function that load another
library at runtime and this one has a symbol

There is no symbol dereferencing in lua. This is a good thing(tm),
in my opinion. If you want trickery like this, you have to resort
to loadstring (which is the lua equivalent of eval)
Best wishes,
Taco

Thanks. I will test as many symbol as I can and report in this post.
Just for now, I think
about LaTeX either, but what does Unicode
compliance mean?
\symbol{DOWNWARDS ARROW LEFTWARDS OF UPWARDS ARROW}?
Out of the whole vector only some 5-10% of glyphs works now.
is it that bad? interesting is that lucida was one of the first fonts
context supported so the transition from yandy-tug
compiant (and i don't care too
much what route latex follows)

there are plenty of other such characters

here is a example from another file with more symbols (the symbols have
