Multiple backup solutions is generally a *BadIdea™* It's expensive and can cause conflicts with agent overlap, etc. The problem you're described seems organizational and operational, not necessarily technical. Someone higher up in your org needs to want to see this work out better/faster/cheaper

You can't have two Blackberry servers running with the same SRP. I think they will lock the SRP out and block both servers from connecting. Get a trial of BES, that will give you an SRP that is good for 60 days. Then move everything across. Once done, you can change the SRP back to your live one.

The BlackBerry devices are going to give you the most control via a BES server. They're also going to be the most expensive when it's all added up. You can apply fairly granular controls over native Windows Mobile devices with Exchange but still not nearly to the level as BES provides. Thanks,

Just one small note on the HP Media Smart boxen. To do anything more than what is provided via the HP console you need to RDP in to the box. HP will not support *anything* that requires or that is configured by RDP ing in to the home server. (I worked support for HP Media Smart for a wee while) -
