Agreed on the single point of failure. Disks are so cheap now anything
other than a laptop gets RAID1 at home. I have RAID1 on my desktop and RAID1

Another option I've considered is to rename the file server, then run the
steps, then rename it back. (We have processes that copy files both to and from
this server based on servername).

I'm looking for a utility that can take before and after snapshots of an
XP system, then apply a difference file to other systems.
I would also be interested in something that can do before/after
snapshots of a registry and export the differences as a .reg file.

An engineer I worked with at my previous job (and whose opinion I
respect) and supports SugarCRM, and he loves it.
I haven't worked with anything except MSCRM, and personally I'd avoid

In both of these cases, ended up with 474 errors in ESE... which according to
MS is generally caused by a hardware (disk subsystem) problem. There being no
physical disk
