But the problem with the jerking and delayed input even exists if I call kill -STOP for the filemanager to reduce CPU load. Which video hardware is used in that Lenovo X61? Intel video? IIRC, the latest Xorg intel video driver needs updated kernel bits, which are not yet available for Solaris;
