YaST believes that alsa is still present. I didn't looked details so first I would try to update alsa. No, the first action should be to rebuild the rpm database, man rpm search for rebuilddb. Then Yast will know what is on the system and can take whatever steps necessary. -- Patrick Shanahan

I will stand the extra four or five minutes when I reboot every other month or so for the file system checks.
