Hi,
Is the SNMP server on ESX turned on? Did you open up the ESX firewall to allow
for SNMP polling?
Can you post the contents of " /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf " ?

Hi,
I installed Ops 3.7 on a CentOS 5.4. Everything went smooth.
I'm going to monitor a node of a ESX 3.5 cluste
Remember to make sure that if there are multiple slaves working side by side
(Clustered so they can take over for one and another) that they can resolve
each others hostnames.
Here is the link I used to do this very thing yesterday:

Hi,
Besides the question "Why would you want to", I'm guessing that running the
opsview-agent on client systems can be coaxed into running as a different user.
The database server needs no nagios user to run mysql, but the main opsview
server? Woof, I don't really suggest chaning the user. (Ag
Hi Scott,
I’ve fired up an appliance for testing. I’ve got it running, on the network and
hitting my NTP server. So far I haven’t been able to find any instructions for
configuring the system to use my enterprise email server. I can google linux
docs to find a way to get it working but I

The value for lastupdate appears to be yesterday sometime - I would have
expected this to be more current since the nagios.debug shows insert.pl being
ran as recent as a few minutes ago...

Hi All,
do you know if there is a way in opsview to generate the graphs
for performance data in 1 minute intervals? i know that some of the data its
kept in rrds with 300 step, which means that an update its done every 5
minutes, i want to change that and change the interval in which this data

Hi,
I upgraded my Opsview yesterday to 3.7.0
After I made my changes in the contacts (merging all separate 'contacts' for
each person into 1 contact with some profiles connected to it), the reload of
the entire system went from 3 minutes 50 seconds to almost 30 minutes.

OK - I've found the patch...

Thanks.
The reason I changed it was I didn't see the actions>add in the corner.
Same as adding a new host, it's pretty hard to find until you get used
to it.
I haven't used opsview before 3.7 so I'm not sure what the changes were.
It seems pretty straight forward once you have done it once.

Fixed one issue. I had actually installed the SmoothWall virtual

configured by default whichexplains the 192.168.58.199 address. I'm
still having the same issue though with my OpsView virtual appliance in
