hi lachezar,
Hya.
Looking at the text I think you misunderstood me.
I was not looking for a fail-over or Web clustering solution. That's it.
I need to use Orion as a EJB server, not the fulll J2EE App server.
I have some QUITE heavy beans, and just very small web-interface for
Boris,
I have subscribed to the Orion-Interest mailing list months ago. I regularly
receive mails such as this. Today I discovered that my Orion folder HAS
DISAPPEARED somehow. Quite strange. As well, the fact you (and maybe others)
got this Orion related mail. The mailing list is quite dynamic

An option is to add order to the list of reserved keywords in your
orion/config/database-schemas/dbtype.xml file. Then Orion will make the
table name Order_.

We used ORDER BY in the finder method query in Orion 1.3.8 with no problems,
then moved to Orion 1.5.2 and they stopped working. Check which version of
Orion you're using.

Hi,
I have a very strange problem that occurs when accessing the Orion web
server from some sites. I have tried to trace at TCP level, but I can't
understand why the error occurs.
The following is happening.
1. A connection is established SYN - SYN, ACK - ACK
2. A get is received: GET / HTTP
Hi everyone,
I have problem with displaying some characters from Cp1250 codepage
(Croatian locale) in JSP .
It seems that transforming from Cp1250 to Unicode doesn't work well.
Inspecting java code generated from JSP by Orion, I noticed that HTML code
is transformed from JSP into something
You should be able to just turn it off in your orion-web.xml. Example:
session-tracking autoencode-absolute-urls=false autoencode-urls=false
autojoin-session=false cookies=disabled

this list. Once the jndi context is set up correctly, I see no reason why

That wont help, since the bouncing mails are bouncing back to the mailing
list and therefore are sent to all of us.
A filter at the mailserver would help, but then somebody would start to yell
something about IronFlare and censorship. And we don't need that thread
again...

I later figured out that the issue was that my webapp was symlinked from

Ye,
That's not an issue with orion. Its java. Depending on the jdk and linux
distro you are using, you will get this error. If you are using redhat 7.0
or 7.1, I would use only ibm, sun seems to have some issues with rh. Orion
runs totally in java. If java is broken, then orion won't run.

I've been after the file found at:
http://www.orionsupport.com/articles/users.html
The native user support file link is busted. When I try to surf the directory it is

direct me to a good version of the file?
Hi all gurus,
I am trying to include a CSS in my servlet:
out.println(html);
out.println(head);
out.println(titleUntitled Document/title);
out.println(meta http-equiv=\Content-Type\ content=\text/html;
charset=iso-8859-1\);
out.println(link rel=\StyleSheet\ href=\blaf.css\
type=\text/css\);
Anyone have a copy of liborion.so they could send me via email or provide a link to
one?

Hi there,
How do you login to the News application that comes

I couldn't find a username/password combination

Thanks,

Has anybody gotten orion's (1.5.2) load balancer to work with SSL? It's not
a problem to get an orion website up and running with SSL but I can't get
the loadbalancer to work with SSL. It never accepts my request. If I turn
of SSL loadbalancing works fine. If anyone has gotten it to work,
I encourage you to use Ant and put a ejbdoclet/ in your build file and let ejbdoclet
generate all the ejb-related things for you. http://jakarta.apache.org and
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ejbdoclet.
In fact EJBDoclet is not for EJB only. The system is generic and there are plans to
add
I want to notice another limitation: if you have a CMP bean with ejb-name
say bank/Account, then orion throws an exception when generating tables,
etc. Orion should use table name bank_Account for example but it doesn't
expect a / in ejb-name and fails.
