they just do WORD moves of memory. so,
in 8bpp = 2 pixels, in 16bpp = 1 pixel. in 4bpp = 4 pixels :)
moving 1 pixel on 8bpp requires BYTE moves, and, that can be
*slow* :) consider the limit of 2 an optimization the API's
have taken.

the moral of the story is, if you are targeting OS 3.3
devices in addition to color devices, you might check that all of your
bitmap families are correct.

How I copy everything in B from A.
make them both 8bpp bitmap windows (WinCreateBitmapWindow) - and then
use WinCopyRectangle to do the copy - use the graphics API's :P
