Now I got it. Yes I have burned a music CD that was too larg to fit on the
disc and I was prompted to insert another disc. Had I known the project was
too large for 1 disc I would have made the project smaller but I guess
that's one way to learn.

How easy is this reader to use?

Hi,
I use roxio 6 and if I try to add more than a dvd's worth of
files, it claims disc 1 of 2, so based on that behavior, I guess that it is
able to span several cd's or dvd's.

I'm not sure what you mean by disc spanning.

It would be a good idea to have the player set to download codecs
automatically, because that could be the cause of your problem with playing
dvd's.
Take an extra moment when you find yourself at piece, to think about your
values, and your own affluency.

First, thanks for the help on the Goldwave question. I see already that I've
come to the right place for audio help. Along those lines, I have another
question. I'm interested in splitting long MP3 files into smaller,
shorter-running files. I am told there are programs that can accomplish
this.

Album wrap is a program to make one mp3 out of an album, while
preserving the tag data for each song. I've never used it, but I've
used Album Wrap Extractor, its free companion program which splits the
big mp3 created by Album Wrap back into its original parts. The only
problem with it is that

I have got some irritating problems with goldwave.
I try to open a very big ogg file.

Joshua! Do you have the Snowman's Sound Forge scripts for Sound Forge
7.0 and your version of JAWS? It's only $30.00. Do you really think you
need anything in that particular dialogue? Alt-r will start recording once
you've pressed ctrl-r.
