purchase.

Hello list,
I am in the process of ripping some audiobooks that are on cd, and I am
encountering some files that contain jitter errors after they are ripped.
Does anyone know of programs that have the ability to correct these errors?
Thanks in advance.

As others have said the Zen Stone is an off the shelf portable media
player that, since it doesn't have a display is totally accessible. I
use this myself, especially for proprietary and protected formats, such

They have. When you get your Nano update the firmware and all that jazz.
Then on the iPod itself activate the settings menu, activate the general
submenu, then set rotation to off.

I know all about Goldwave, and it does have many advantages. Actually, when
working with an mp3 file, Mp3 Direct Cut has it beat for splitting and some
simple editing given the fact that it works directly on the mp3 file without
decompressing and re-compressing. Both programs have their uses.
Have they fixed the Ipod Mano to where if you tilt it it will not change
menues?

It's just you need to generate the spoken menus. This is done using iTunes 8

I think what he means is that it requires a bit of set up to make it
accessible, so therefore, it isn't going to talk to you as soon as you
pull it out of the box. You'll need to have iTunes 8 running on your PC

No. As much of a Gold Wave advocate as I am, I will never advocate Gold

lossy-to-lossy conversion, which always, always yields quality loss.

Hi Lauren,
if you talking about a hardware MP3 player I can suggest the "creative
zen stone 2 GB" model. It comes without a display, has a little
speaker and plays mp3 and wma files. You can have several folders and
load your music onto the player just as to a normal USB-Stick.

There were some cheaper hardware devices made by jk audio.
