High Garry, Those tubes are still in high demand today. Professional musicians and audio phials like me, are using them in their guitar and hi phi amplifiers. Pared up with a really good set of power tubes like the 6550 KT88 5881 6L6 6CA7 EL34 or KT77 tubes, they can and do sound really good.
