Hi, the best thing maybe is to download the laim encoder and use it in
a program like goldwave or total recorder and then convert those files
to the spex of the laim encoder as that should work with that program.
MarvelSoft is not very good with their design and to keep pushing out
better updates.
I finally got my ls14. Its very intresting how olympus make changes
compared to the older models. I found now some good knews. The voice
files wich make the recorder talk is no longer in the build in memory.
In older models you had to backup the voice guidance folder and
restore it after a format,
I'm glad you like it. That's good to hear that the speech won't go away if
you format it for some reason. As for the mike thing, I'm not sure I fully
understand your point. The DM-420and 5-20 could be used and they must have
had some driver built in to be able to do 96 KHZ 24 Bit. What is more, I
Wel, the dm range cannot record such high quality. The highest with
them is 16bit48kbps on wave. Its only the ls models wich can go til
24bit96khz. The 520 and other dm models can be used as a microphone on
pc, but the problem is that its not vissable to windows. You can only
record with it using
I see. No I know that only the the LS ones do Blu-Ray quality built in.
That's interesting that windows couldn't see your recorder. It saw my 420
and 520 and I'm able to do full Blu-Ray 96 KHZ 24 Bit PCM with it in Sound
Forge.

Sorry, I am a bit lost. You say you do 24 bit quality with the 520 in
SounForge? Do you mean that you use the mics and record in SoundForge
or do you find a way to record directly on the unit with that quality?
And does it sound much different when performing in SoundForge?

I do it by using it as an external sound card. Just like you said. There is
perhaps a bit more clarity to the sound.

Wel in that case I must try the 620 again. Idon't no why I couldn't
get the mic setting in windows. But it works great on the ls14. I want
to go out and record stuff in the street soon.
