I've had no problems on my gateway media centre machine. I have recorded
using stereo mix and line out, and I have saved and played various music
files. I have also used the voice over plugin with no problems. Sorry, I
haven't done anything with a microphone.

They also tell you when files have been copied to and pasted from the
clipboard. They make it possible to change the default folder in which
music is stored. They are not necessary, but they are very nice, and they
make life with goldwave just that much easier.

I never could figure out what to do, so I used real player until I bought
winamp pro. Of course, you could always uninstall and reinstall. It would
probably work, but it would also be extremely tedious.

So far, cheap datta cdrs have performed better than cheap cdrws. I'm now
using some audio cdrws with the yamaha burner. They have worked well up
till now.

My advice is to write to the author, Martin Pesch. The link can be found
in the faq for mp3 direct cut. He replied to me within 24 hours to let me
know that I had the wrong version of the program. I could never get the
mglib decoder to work on my machine, either.

With this player, it is easier for me to create separate playlists. Often,
in winamp my new playlist gets added to an old one. I'm doubtless missing
something here, and I still intend to use winamp much of the time, but it
is nice to try different things to see what they can do.

I had version 1.37. In order to get the append feature to work, you need
1.38, which I got from simtel.net. Thanks, Rob, for all your help. I
wrote to the author, and his response was fast and courteous.

When I try to use mp3 directcut to append one file to another, the file
that is being appended over writes instead of appending. Has anyone else

Data cds work fine for me. I have made many music cds using them. The
difference seems to matter for some types of machines, like our Yamaha
stand alone cd burner. It won't recognize data cds at all - no matter how
many times you yell at it.
