It's been a few years, but I used AI (www.aandi.com). Mostly for
E-6, but some C-41 process print. Their machine prints were
individually corrected, and were a big step up from
Kodak/Walgreens/etc. I particularly liked Reala on their machines and
paper.

the nominal rated voltage of nimh is 1.2V. Nimh would not

extremely well IMHO. With a large number of slides to scan you might want to
look for the bulk loader that was available for it. Also if you don't need
the absolute highest resolution, you can greatly speed up the scan time.

I think I like the 1st better for composition, but the midrange lights I
think need to be bumped up. I'm with Brian W. on this one; I've tried these
kinds of shots, but I find them hard to work--never get one I like. I think
these kinds of shots need really interesting light to make them
