Yes, I believe that's one of the 1.6 inch long hoods that were
originally meant for 70mm or 70-210mm lenses. It's hard to tell from
the photos, sometimes the sellers fool with the image to make the hood
appear longer, but the description tells it all.

I forgot who on the list was talking about the Pentax Takumar 135 mm
F2.5 lens. Anyway I looked for mine, as I had not used it for such a
long long time. It does have nice bokeh. These two photos were taken
with the lens, the subject is a wind spinner.

It took me a while to see it as well, although I thought it was funny ;-)

Not that I don't want higher resolution, but right now, my desktop
handles K20D sized files with aplomb. It (most), probably, won't have
problems with K-5 sized files, though you never know, they are at least
twice as large as K20D files. My printer is capable of producing
13x19in output. th

Boris, don't forget, more pixels per image captured, allow a better crop,
especially helpful with wildlife shots.

You can do the same thing with the PC/AV output. The cable came with
your camera.
At the community college where I usually teach, the projectors are
mounted on the ceiling. So I don't have direct access to the
projector. Every instructors desk has a VCR, DVD player or an Elmo
overhead projector
Boris,
I like that photo, but it is disconcerting at first glance.
The typical/expected shot is thru the archway to the background,
and that's out of focus (plus light colored wall drawing attention).
My eye comes back out to the leaves and they are beautiful.

I'm sure it would cost more to repair than to replace given the damage.
The focus is completely locked up on it -- I can't get it to even budge.
And there's a severe dent in the lens barrel at the filter threads.

The owners of both of the local stores in Raleigh told me the same
thing. Pentax would not keep them as a dealer unless they *stocked in
inventory* one of every item Pentax offered (excepting endoscopes). Both
were existing dealers who had carried a fair amount of Pentax merchandise.

Sorry to hear that, you could always try sending it off the Kirk at

that you can sometimes pick up for as little as $50.00 though.
