I'm trying to see the advantage of having a $10,000 camera (+ for lenses)
that Pentax (Hoya-Ricoh) feels like spending the money to write the code to
allow some tethering features (one?) to their buyer base. One would think there
are a much higher that 10 to 1 ratio for K5 to 645D. Meaning

The K7 and especially the K5 were real breakthrough digital cameras
for Pentax. I'm hopeful Pentax will release that 'killer mirrorless
system as well. They currently have great IQ but too big and
really small but sensor-limited systems. Third time's the charm.

A few nights ago a friend stopped by with his Nikon D800. He mentioned an
interesting point, that his camera is diffraction limited at f/4. And so, it
turns out, is a Pentax K-5 (I'm using their data for a D7000 to find the
diffraction limit).
Maybe we should observe a week of 'no bitchin' about Pentax stuff in honor
of the award. ;+]
