Hi!
Though I am more than 1000 unread messages behind, I'd risk
posting another PESO. Later on I will post a short write up
about the gear that I used this time.

Interesting floser. I have never heard of it.
I like the DOF chosen, and the placement of the brown bits on the stems.

Thanks Bob.
All there were shot hand held. I had to dial up ISO 400 to ensure fast
enough shutter speed given the weather conditions.
As for Galia's shot - I only ask Galia to look for what she thinks looks
beautiful. When I see that she has attained (achieved?) certain level,

Igor, it is known fact that when focusing FA 100/3.5 and its siblings,
the whole lens assembly is in motion. That is, all glass pieces move
together. This is very interesting, though it seems that toward macro
range the lens is changing its focal length. I am saying so because I
observe that
Boris,
All the macro lenses change focal lengths as you focus them.
You can get around this with a bellows and rack on a tripod.
You set the focal length/field of view you want, and then
crank the whole lens/bellows/camera back forth on the rack.
It's clumsy, but allows a very precise framing.
Boris,
Maybe we can get Frank to pedal out and take some pictures of flower
petals. :-)
I understand about Galia learning photography step by step, but I
would mention the faded petal.
It isn't so much a photo thing as a nature, biological process, faded
beauty thing.

Boris,
Yes, I find that all macro lenses and macro filters decrease DOF.
The higher the magnification, the shallower the DOF.
(As Bob mentioned, - bellows is a solution, but I have never tried
that myself.)
I usually try to close down the aperture to enhance DOF.
For many shots I am using F-DA

Boris,
Nice job on the Raspberry flower. It is a pleasing composition and
lots of detail is in focus. Hard to do!
The second shot of the fruit itself is technically fine, but not so
exciting. It does convey a sense of fullness of the berry.
The best part of Galia's photo is how the two blossoms

Boris,
Of the three shots, I like the first the most.
I've been experimenting with shooting various berries and fruits
in the past few years, and I've been getting some similar shots, and
