A few people suggested that more detail in the man's face in this pic would
be helpful, or that a more blurry image might work.and perhaps give the
photo a central reference point. It took a while to decide upon a
solution, as there were a few ways this could be done as well as several

I've hated Shel for a long time now.
However, now it's "official". We hate him.

Hi John ...
I have another shot without the person. There's quite a lot to like in the
shot, but a few elements didn't come together well. It may be worth
another visit ... Thanks so much for your input.

Shel,
I think this is a tremendous shot. The patterns are so strong, and so
effective, that I think they render the human figure superfluous. If you
can go back, when the light is right, it would be nice to try the shot
with nobody there. For me, it would work, and work better.

Shel,
I look forward to the "more blurry fellow".
May convey a state of confusion as though finding
himself in a 'too' advanced geometry class. In which
case, it would only make sense if so titled.

I agree with Bruce.
There's no Ruth here, and what would she have to do
with it anyway?

An interesting composition, but the figure is neither silhouette nor
clearly seen. He's sort of lot in a deep shadow that makes me wish you
had gone one way or the other.

G'day Shel,
I like the geometry & lighting, but I don't think having the person
there adds anything.
I'll reserve further comment until I can have a look and play around at home.

Hi Bruce ...
The facelessness was intended. Whether or not it works is another matter.
I go back and forth on it. Thanks for taking a look and commenting ;-))

Hi Boris ...
That's the strangest thing, for, you see, the scan came out a bit bluish,
which is odd since I was scanning a C41 B&W. So I decided to with that and
see where it would lead. I decided to see what would happen if I made the
person featureless. I won't comment further at this point.
