Mitch,
"Stairway" and the two "Early Morning Park" shots are
my favorites. Very nice indeed!
I think the best size strategy is to keep the vertical
dimension to 600 pixels or less. Lots of people have
displays that are 800 pixels high, and by the time one

Welcome! I looked through your images and you've got a couple of nice
ones, there. It looks like you are seeing light well and using it to
your advantage. My two favorites are Early Morning Park #2 and Urban
Sprawl.
Thanks for sharing.

Paul, My mail program deletes anything that it sees as a sig. before
sending out a reply. Sometimes the URL ends up being part of that.
It's not intentional. Probably a lot of members use software with
similar behavior. Sometimes I don't even realize it's done it.

I agree. I didn't check the size of the files in question, but they
didn't appear overly large on my monitor. I save mine at around 970
points on the long side, 60 to 70% quality, Save for Web. Size ranges
from about 130 Kb to as much as 300 for a highly detailed shot.

I like larger images too, but for me it's more a matter of the file
size. When I prepare shots for posting, I assume that everyone who may
view the photo is on a 56kbps dial-up connection.
Creating a 1024x684 file using save for web in PS CS2 at 100% quality
I get a files around 330-450kB. At 75%
Good work. I like Early Morning Park 3, Edge of the World, and the
Sentinel quite a lot. The Sentinel might benefit from a tighter crop:
some of the right and off the bottom. Nice job with the exposures on
the backlit shots.
I for one appreciate the somewhat large images. Tiny web shots don't

My personal favourite at first glance is The Edge Of The World. Great
use of contrast for effect. I'm looking at the images from an old and
uncalibrated LCD screen at work, though. Will take another look later.

G'day Mitch,
You've got some nice stuff there. "The Sentinel " has potential, but I find
the greenery distracting. I don't know if it would have been possible to
try framing the scene without it. I particularly like "Early Morning Park
#3" & "Urban Sprawl" those are really nice.
