Thank you very much for your kind comments. I have to admit it was a bit of a
shock to read that someone could recognize my photos. Up until now I thought
that my photos were pretty much as everyone's elses, as I take photos of
anything that catches my fancy and I don't try to make any sort of p
I found this shot very intriguing as well. The highlight burst on the
left combined with the expansive view and unusual composition works
very well for me.

i think what I meant to say is that it looks, to me, more like a
renovation project than something abandoned. The laquer/finish of the
two large chairs still looks rich and smooth, while the seats and the
legs have marks of heavy use. Together it gives me the impression of
recent activity.

I guess a place like this really puts one in a sort of "Robinson
crusoe" mode, and after reading your description and taking another
long look at the picture, a sort of slight forlornness crept up on me.
I think it was the black surfaces of the image that did it. However,

A classic ruin shot. What makes this one stand out, IMO, is the
repetition of the fallen chunks on the right and beyond the arch. I
like the rest of the composition too, btw. :-)

This month I feel like commenting some of the pictures displayed that cached my
eyes. Since perfection doesn't exist, I'll try not only to point positive but
also negative (constructive) aspects, that I think it is also a useful feedback.
