I'm another of those. I print rarely and am a huge fan of the 1x1
format. If a good camera came out with a square sensor, I'd be an
instant customer. But the paper and precooked-frame options are
seriously lousy. So I guess square is really a minority taste. -T

and photo stores now have pre-cut 8 x 12 mats that are 11 x 14 on the outside.

If you're cutting your own mats, you may be interested in this little
program...you enter the dimensions and it does the layout for you.
