I think the very high ends will be dropped, i.e., the F5 and the EOS-1v. The top end for Nikon and Canon film bodies will be the Elan 7 or N80 (Maybe F100). The high end market, whether pro or serious amateur, is digital now. In addition, no one wants to even announce a new high end film body
