I was out in the front yard today, and looked at the cedar logs. The deep red seen in this image has faded quite noticeably, as the log dries out. It is still readily identifiable as red cedar, but the intensity that made it so interesting to me just a few days ago has disappeared. Dan Matyola

Here is a shot of a group of Robins and Cedar Waxwings that I shot several years ago in my backyard. This was my first time ever seeing a Waxwing. Numerous people have commented that seeing the two species together is very unusual. Why, I do not know.
