Dave, While you get a full illumination when shooting directly (i.e. parallel to the lens) you also get harsher shadows (although not as harsh as using in camera flash - a la Point and shoots). The Lumiquest I use is the Pocket Bouncer. You don't get the diffuse light that you would from
