still haven't tracked down. All of this in a C program that gets
regularly (sp)linted and checked all sorts of ways, written with
the intention of producing portable code.

Stef,
Why be sorry? It's great that you have a stable kernel in Pharo. Where
do I find the definition of the Pharo public API?
In which way is the Pharo technology that underlies Moose more complex
than BabyIDE? Porting BabyIDE from Squeak 3.10 to 4.5 was hard because
it extends the Squeak
. Even if that means less features :)

I can't resist adding my pennyworth to this discussion. The ST vision
was to empower children of all ages to master their own programs.
This gives me an imperative discriminator for all my work: Am I making
the programs more readable? If not, don't do it.
I have been programming Smalltalk

Hi Wilfred,
Smalltalk builds on Simula, Lisp, ++
So yes, there is a strong similarity with Lisp but I hope we can make
the programs more readable.
Do you mean to use the command shell for running remote objects
('apps')? Well worth trying.
A next step could be to run them from DCI role
extensive ?
