Hi Sarah
I'd say much the same as Chuck. Do some experimenting
and it's remarkably easy to begin to get consistent
indoor exposures, especialy if you stick to the same
camera and film combination for a while. After a
while, you'll just know the light. Using a Zero 2000,
for example, and T-Max 100

Fellow pinholers,
The work on the next pinhole day (WPPD2) is going well. Things are slowly
coming together.
I believe most everyone knows that the pinhole day web site

translated into 12 languages. Jean Daubas
Dear Murray
You can buy a paper safe which is a black plastic box with light traps that
can be opened and shut or do as I have done on occassions which is to make

This may seem silly, but I have a 1000 foot roll of 5 wide film, and
nothing to put sheets I cut off the roll into.
Locally, labs won't give up their boxes, or everything comes on a roll in a
black-lined bag...I got one of those and used it to ship some film in and
save the roll cannister in.

Yes you can use 35mm film. To very quickly do some pinhole images, you
could mount a pinhole instead of your SLR camera's lens. If you have a
opaque body cap, you could mount the pinhole to it, or you could just cut a

I've shot color slide film (Sensia II and kodak E200) in my 35mm camera with

only done this in good light where the exposures were under 10 seconds.

John,
Look for WIRE GAUGE DRILL BITS. Usually they are sold in packages
of several bits (you'd need them because they are so fragil and brake
easely).

Hi This is Lonnie:
The focal lengths that you mentioned for your pinhole camera are of a very
wide angle of view. Many pinhole photographers do use a wide angle view. I
have a friend who is a professional advertising photographer who has a
pinhole camera that is like a fisheye lens.
The
Lonnie,
I'm trying to finish my Bender 4x5 for World Pinhole Day. It has two focal
lengths: 65 or 87 mm. They recommend pinholes of 0.33 mm for the 65 mm for
an f# = 197 and 0.38 mm for the 87 mm for an f# = 229. You mentioned 0.018
(0.457 mm) as the best for a normal 4x5. My questions are:
Hi, it's me Lonnie again. I forgot to mention: The 0.018 hole can be made
with a simple #10 sewing needle. I used a hobby drill with a 0.018 bit and
drilled in a thin piece of brass. I feel this aperture size is the most
optimal for a 4x5 camera with a normal focal length.
Lonnie
Dear Girl Scouts:
