Hi,
I currently use MusicIP for my mixes and I am quite happy with it
(apart from the fact that I can't see my moods in SC). However what I
want to do now is to instruct MusicIP somehow to not include tracks in
the mixes that have been played more than a X number of times, or to
prefer tracks
Does that then play all the tracks that have never been played (in a
random order) then move on to tracks that have been played once, and so
on?
If so, is there a way to select the x% least played tracks?
e.g. if you have quite a few tracks and listen randomly, the older ones

A somewhat less technical issue than most of those posed here. I've
just installed a 7.2 Squeezebox setup on a new PC, running Vista

Now, I here in Texas use the live R3 stream as my morning Alarm Clock.

OK, I'm following these instructions:
To get AlienBBC to skip the ident.
1. Open Settings/Plugins/AlienBBC
2. At the bottom there is a blank text box underneath a text box with
r2online_id.rm which is the Radio 2 ident.
3. Enter r3g2ident.rm into the empty text box.
4. Click Apply and a new
Just uploaded a shiny new Moose 0.68 to the usual places (see sig).
Bit of a gap since the last release, but hopefully worth the wait..
The main thing i've been working on is the new playlist control in the now
playing window. It's a complete re-write and hopefully quite a bit better

Ah-ha! If you are in the CLASSIC Interface - as I was - then there are
no CLOSE or APPLY buttons when you get down to the SETTINGS column for
any of the PlugIns! So the work-round was to switch to DEFAULT
interface, drive down to SETTINGS for Alien PlugIn, add the IGNORE
command, and then
If you have Custom Scan installed, it will inject your TrackStat stats
into MusicIP via the MusicIP Stats Export module (set it to dynamically
update). Then you can create filters in MIP based on your ratings and
play stats.
They co-exist quite nicely!

hi there,
I'm keen to try this out, but it appears I have to install a beta
version of Squeezecentre, so I just wanted to check how stable this
version was compared to the current shipping version?
Thanks alot,

Gmail allows you to view an rss/atom feed of your gmail. SC 7.x allows
you to subscribe to feeds and view them on the Duet controller.
Can you use this feed address in SC?

I think this problem is now sorted.
It appears that entering a DNS Server address I had omitted from the
FreeNAS setup has suddenly resolved this issue.
I cannot explain why, but since re-starting the errors have stopped and
the system is playing music files (except iTunes).

You don't need TrackStat for this - I think you should be able to do this by
creating filters

Assuming CD is connected to SPDIF input on the same PC that is running

It's quite stable, but having said that, it is beta so you may have
problems that other people aren't having, and if you do, you should be
prepared to either revert, or help someone to help you get it running!

If you are cautious try the latest nightly version of 7.2.1 - this is a
minor bug fix release and so should be considered as close to 7.2 in
terms of stability. It should work with the 7.2 version of this
plugin.

Hi
I've just updated my Squeezecenter 7.1-18450 to 7.2 (because i bought a
new Squeezebox boom). Now i'm not able to connect to SC anymore. The
status of SSODS says running, but the SB cannot connect and the admin
GUI is not reachable too.
Then i tried to connect with Filezilla to the

so there is no way that I can control which filters to apply on a
musicip mix from SC? Thats a shame. TrackStat provides some really cool
filters which I was hoping I would be able to apply to my musicip mixes
on a ad-hoc basis.

Thanks. Are these filters also available/visible from the controller?

You can set a default filter per player in the WebUI. The Controller
will not prompt you for the filter when you create a mix, but it will
use the filter you have defined in the WebUI.
