TEN is missing many, many tracks... Is that normal?
0.97 is on its way to your systems. I've tried to tweak the export to
improve the recognition. Two comments:
- the missing log can be misleading. When exporting for the first time,
the log file might be created while the analysis on TEN's
Scanning the same drive (external hard drive connected to Goflex Net
Squeezeplug) with windows 7 Laptop, the profile export completes
correctly, so what is the problem with the squeezeplug? Export on the
squeezeplug takes about an hour whereas the laptop takes less than 4
minutes, could this be re
Triode, looks like a good plugin but I cannot install it - having ticked
the box against Local Player, clicked "Apply" and restarted, I get
"Changes will take place at the next application restart. Please click
here to restart the server now.", so I "click here" and loop through the
whole procedur

Running LMS on a NAS is likely a bad idea if you use a lot of third
party plugins which requires a lot of memory/CPU. It all depends on the
performance

Depending on your NAS you could try the reverse, i.e. put LMS on the
NAS, but I know LMS will only run on certain flavours.

Updated LocalPlayer now in the Other 3rd Party Plugins list.
This version includes an updated squeezelite version which fixes some
bugs plus adds support for mp3 decoding on windows. Local Player should
now be fully functional on windows.
On linux the main issue people are seeing is the need to

My problem seems very similar to the exper
'Crackle' problem has disappeared after I switched off logging (???).
Will keep LP as player over next few days and subject to more tests.

note: as an aside, and probably just random, but I notice that a lot of
my "missing" tracks in the smart mix log are files where I have either
multiple artists in the FLAC tags or multiple genres in the FLAC tags.
I wonder if smartmix chokes on songs tagged with multiple artists
fields?

I do echo the requests for more control over local vs. sourced music.
For me it amounts to quite different use-cases. Mixing my own collection
has a flavour of "best-of/specific-genre"-mix, while sourcing from
Spotify creates mixes more of the "discover-new-music"-type.

Great plugin. Does it support Replay Gain?
Looks like I get permission denied so it wont start. How do I add the
server user to the audio device?
Running Vortexbox. VB player is disabled.

not running - if checked, still not running. It changes to Running as
soon as I specify a -r value ...
Nothing else accesses the audio (as far as I know).
