Actually, the Sonos Play1 is an okay small speaker - nice sound - for a
bedroom or guest room. The android control is okay.
And, it can read/play LMS playlists.

Which search are you using? iPeng's local search or the globalsearch
which (by default) is under "Extras"?
How old is the 7.9 Beta? I think there were some builds where search was
broken, if it's not the most recent one, please update.

the stream stopping. Sometimes I can go without problems for hours and
sometimes, like now, every few minutes. Sometimes the drop-out becomes

Yes, but on my system the ports seems to vary. I gave up and opened up
a range in the 3 to 4s. There are some other 'standard' ones
that ufw says need to be open, such as:

As I understand it the cache.db file does get cleared periodically
anyway. However if you have been using a stream, do one of the fixes,
and then try it again without clearing the cache it won't work straight
away. That's why the advice is to clear it to be sure it will work.

Thanks for the fix its worked but just thought I would mention a caveat
for Vortexbox users.
If you are managing your vortexbox via webmin you need to upload the
replacement files for method B RTMP fix as the squeezeboxserver user not
as the root user. I first uploaded as root and got an error w

somewhere along the way...
I'm running LMS on an Odroid U3 with Debian 14.04, so I can't easily
install FFMPEG. Of course, there is that libav, but the HLS Plugin does
not use those. Is there a way to tell the HLS Plugin to

I have to do that frequently when playing around with new Plugins, and
it would be faster/easier than the current "stop" and "start" procedure.
Of course, it's not really neccessary, but it would be nice to have.
