I know I'm slow to the plot sometimes, but I have recently noticed this
and then forgot to post (I'm sure there used to be an 'Extras thread,
but I can't find it:confused:)

BBCiPlayerExtras already does this for at least some programs, including
ones such as Radio 4 PM, which is currently available from 8/10/15, and
many Radio 3 programs.

BBCiPlayer plugin uses a BBC official feed with the list of available
programs. IIRC this list is intended for use by equipment vendors. This
feed started when BBC only provided 7

The Extra plugin uses the Flash format which I suspect will be retired
soon now that DASH has been implement

well, im experiencing same problems above. my setup is Daphile with LMS
7.9, if i get logs with DEBUG flag, from player and plugin shairtunes2 i
got, connection errors, maybe user privileges ?

The plugin only shows what on the web page and as expected on the web
page there are double entries for the above programs.

Well yes, but this is the only program (that I notice) that gives the
320 stream, all the others I have tried are 128 (unless I use the SBT or
Radio, the streams are playing on an raspberry pi).

This tells me BBC are offering two qualities (aka representations) 128k
and 320k in AACin DASH streams. I can't say if they actually work at
the moment but if you have a DASH player you can play the MPD URL and
select the bandwidth you want.

Paste URL into box and the click Load. This has lots of control over
playing but if wrong selection is made - nothing is played.

Looking at the mpd in more detail - UK user have choice of all rates
48k, 96k, 128 and 320k (in two adaptation sets) which adds complexity to
a plugin.
