I am running iTunes 9.2 on Snow Leopard 10.6.2. Does anybody here have
any thoughts? It seems like the Mac::AppleScript::Glue has not been
updated for 6-7 years and may be there are issues there, are there any
other options?

Right now, my need for iTunesupdate is more important than the presets
for shortcuts, so I just disabled all my favorites.
Am I right with the diagnosis of this bug or is there a work around to
this issue?

If I assume right, and you are using your iTunes instance with your ipod
to sync ratings, you may be able to use the iTunesupdate plugin to sync
up the ratings. Unfortunately iTunesupdate does not work with SB 7.4 as
of now. Hopefully James will fix the issue some time soon.

Erland,
I disabled iTunesupdate and tried to shutdown my mac and that worked
perfectly. So something is going on between iTunesupdate & Trackstat
that prevents both of them from running concurrently.
Do you have any suggestions on what I can do have both running?

It seems like with every upgrade of SC, the plugins need to be installed
over again. I use SuperDateandTime & iTunesupdate and both had to be
installed after I upgraded to SC 7.2, I had also upgraded to iTunes 8.

Further I found that downloading the source for Mac::AppleScript and
the other libraries needed and further compiling & installing it
manually without using CPAN resolved some issues with the above
mentioned libraries. Hope this helps.

I can confirm that my iTunesupdate plugin also works with iTunes 7.0.1
in Mac OS X(10.4.7 Intel). I guess I must have jumped the gun when I
pestered you about support in the latest & greatest version of iTunes.

I did not like the looks of SoftSqueeze, that said a dedicated device
probably will work better.
When I wanted to skip to the next song, it seems like it took just
about forever to skip over? I should place my order shortly.
