Not entirely. Last.fm allows subscribers to stream from all over the
world. It's logitech that restricts the 'official' last.fm plug
I'm from Poland and I'm Lastfm subscriber. Unfortunatelly streaming
doesn't work on my duet.
Lastfm plugin is installed but I don's see anything in the menu on
controller.
Scrobbling works ok.
Any ideas how can I activate streaming?

i was too fast with my conclusions. when i connect SB to
mysqueezebox.com i can receive Last.fm! :). (i doesnt scrobble
however..)isnt that weird?

Me too, I can no longer access last.fm from the Duet.
However, I can still access from my Radio.
So, I'm not (yet) convinced that the restriction is based on your
source ip address as both my Duet and Radio are connecting from the
same IP address.
A difference however is that my Radio is connected

Hi - I have been Last FM user for a number of years now, first in the UK
but also since I moved to Australia last year. I was happy that the
trick of setting the country settings in My Squeezebox meant that I
could still stream my UK Last FM account to my various squeezebox
devices that I brought
I'm sure I used to have it, and now it's gone ?

It seems to work sometimes for me and sometimes not. I had made some
stations that worked for awhile but today they're gone. It does
scrobble perfect though.

seems to play the default station (the last station I used on the
computer on Last FM). If I try to select out of tags, history or

Although my Last.fm website says that I am listening to my personal
radio, it's not actually scrobbling any of the tracks ?

Key thing to keep your eye on is 'this'

Playing Last.fm via Squeezenetwork is not yet implemented (although has
been planned for a while and is actively being worked on). Loads of

You should be able to scrobble from Squeezenetwork using the built-in
Last.fm Audioscrobbler plugin

Just delete the Plugins/LastFM directory.
If the plugin had once worked it would leave some stuff in your

but at the cost of eliminating any accented characters that the
Squeezebox can display!
The same text is also shared by the web interface where it can be

Thinking about it I guess the problem is that LastFM's info is UTF8
encoded, but the Squeezebox player doesn't support UTF8 (unless you're
using one of the Unicode fonts?). I guess it must be possible to
'downgrade' UTF8 to plain ASCII somehow...

I've never really got to the bottom of it, I don't know if it comes
from LastFM incorrectly encoded or if the plugin does something wrong
with it. Although 'extended' characters show up OK in the web
interface they don't on the players.

Now I have got a replacement SB3 for my faulty one I am back up and
running and wanted to try Last.fm radio.
First of all I would like to thank James for this superb plugin! I am
really loving it.

I cannot get Last FM plugin to load / run - it doesn't 'appear' in
Slimserver or SB3. I have SS v6.5.1 running on QNAP TS-101.
I already had the Audioscrobbler plugin appearing and checked in Server
Settings / Plugins, and was/am able to enter LastFM/Audioscrobbler user
name and password, bu
I think it would have worked with AlienBBC because it is your SlimServer
machine that connects to the internet to get that RealAudio stream and
it then converts it to pass it to the Squeezebox - i.e. Squeezebox did
not need direct internet connection.

Well, I worked out what was wrong with my setup. I could play AlienBBC,
but not Last.fm or Live365. The problem was that my computer was
connected directly to the internet, wirelessly to a router (not
connected to the internet) then on to the squeezebox. The problem was

You don't need to make the registry changes unless you want to start
playing from a LastFM web page.
Sometimes LastFM is just too busy, although it was fine for me on

Scrobbler is working fine. I just cant listen to last.fm
Looking at the plugin site, it says it works with 6.1 and 6.2.
