Felix, yes, I was using the correct conf file. The others I have
installed contain different internal device names. I specifically added
-felix to the one being tested.

I am not talking about feedback from the amp to the plugin (obviously
thats impossilbe). I am taking about the plugin ignoring an ir command
from the SB3/Transporter while it is in the middle of sending a
previous command. I am guessing thats why the volume up down with a
remote does not work but
Willy,
Depends what you mean by properly?
I can control the volume of my Denon reciever using the SB remote,
although I don't think holding the volume button down works - I have to
keep hitting it.
However I would rarely change volume by holding the button anyway as the
amp changes volume far too
well that's not really properly (many amps have the sense to change
volume gradually, and i would send back a universal remote that didn't
allow me to hold my finger on the volume button) but it would be a step
up for me...
sometimes if i try and press it real quick it might work from time to
I found the commands on the net, probably via the lirc page, and I have
the default delay set.
It might work when holding the button down (I can check), I just don't
use it that way. The Denon amp seems to accelerate the volume changes
the longer you hold the button and it can easily get out of
I just spoke with Felix in email about a similar problem. And also an
apparently faulty conf file I downloaded.
IR commands for most devices are made up of a lead-in, a one-time
pattern, a repeat pattern and a lead-out (and delay). When you press a
remote button one time you get a sequence
Hi there
@ willyhoops: What I meant was that I do not get any feedback from the
player (SB3, Transporter) when it has finished sending an ir command.
Anyway, I've put up a new version of the IR Blaster plugin onto my
website that blocks sending (raw/learned) ir commands while another is
still
Hi there
The plugin does not get feedback from the player about when an ir
command has finished.
Cheers

Can't the ir blaster plugin just send the commands one at a time instead
of repeating even though it is getting frequent multiple commands from
the remote? Eg logic says: if I am currently sending a vol up command
then ignore this new request to send it again. Then the remote volume
would be as
I am using a cable to cable connection. Felix what you got to take into
account I keep saying is that the volume up down works perfectly if you
click test in the web but fails when you press the transporter
remote so its not the cable or the line of site etc etc.
clearly it's a bug coming
Hi there
Thank you for your input. I understand it's frustrating if something is
not working as intended.
There is a difference between pressing the test button and using the
remote. Not for power on and off, but when using volume up and down.
Pressing the test button sends out the command one
No changing the delay does not make much or any difference. The control
is not reliable even though via the web buttons it is fine. Also you
can't just keep your finger on it and the volume goes up like a normal
remote. I guess the multiple commands coming in from the server are
confusing the
Hi there
Changing the delay might help in such a case.
And/Or covering the ir receiver of your amp so it doesn't pick up the
ir beam of the remote.

Hi I have gone through the learning process and when i have the Home /
Settings of player / IR-Blaster page up I can click test and make the
volume move up and down.
But when I press volume up or volume down on the remote it just jumps
to volume 50% and the amp volume does not change.
This is
interesting... I have the same problem.

I just found you have to reboot the pc (restarting slim server not
enough) and then it picks up the volume 100 setting but the volume up
and down keys still do not work even though the web interface
configuration page up and down test work. When I press the key it just
says volume 100 and nothing
