No, sorry, it probably won't work - SlimServer and iTunes need to be using the same set of files. I do a check that the file matches because otherwise it's very hard to be sure both systems are referring to the same file using only the tags. The only exception is if you have mirror copies of all

I just upgraded my computer running OS X 10.4.x to 10.5.3, which also meant an upgrade from SlimServer 6.5.x to SqueezeCenter 7.0.1 and and update to iTunesUpdate plugin v2.4.4. Whew! A lot of updates today. Anyway, everything seemed ok, until I tried to play a sing by the German band Die Ärzte.
