Is there a simple way to publish a wiki page as an unprotected read only
web page? Sometimes I just want to let a group of people read what is
going on on one page, but not bother with access and all that... So my
idea would be somehow to have group A working on certain pages and
publish it
the docs on this on PMwiki, but not able to grok the right params
to use after the email address to force only the link to the page itself.
It may have something to do with trails but again, I wasn't
quite able to determine exactly what to do.

If I change
$DefaultName
Name of the default HomePage of each WikiGroup. Used when the group
doesn't have a page with the same name as the group, as in HomePage.
to something beside the same name as the group, will this affect Cluster
operations?

of re-rendering the page with visible passwords, PMwiki drops me
back into the login form.
should AuthUser.php be installed for this to work (I never installed
AuthUser.php but can and probably will)

and things are working now.

by admin is a security precaution, but in my context I would rather it
be allowed
as only trusted users can get in in the first place. and it save me from
complaints that attach: didn't work...

we do that without force users to upload and then re-write
the link to an absolute URL? In theory, PMwiki has all
the information it needs to map a path to the original image.

Does PhP have modal dialogs for PMWiki with an OK button to dismiss
and drop the user back to the page as it was? That would be ideal.
