I have the full manuals, but when I replaced the HD in my PB3400, I did a Google
search and found a very useful page. I don't recall where it is right now, but I'm
sure you could find it by typing in PB3400 Replace hard drive or something similar.

The dividing line between those PBs which can use Apple's AirPort

Macs lack OpenFirmware, AP won't work on such nubus 'Books as 5300 and

Drew, can you see any possibility at all to hack AP for nubus PBs?
Dan K
Maybe. I think i've determined that AirPort looks at the pccd
system gestalt to decide if it wants to work or not. I'm still
trying to hack the vanilla AirPort 1.3 installer to install on a
3400c. I got far enough that
My recommendation:
ORiNOCO Silver (or Gold) card.
AirPort 1.3 drivers.
That combination will work on Mac OS 8.6 or higher, provided you've
got a 2400c or 3400c (or newer).
AirPort 1.3 won't install on the 2400, 3400, or Kanga. You have to
use TomeViewer to install it manually.
Would installing more than 64MB of RAM in the 5300ce really make it
not boot, or would it just not address whatever RAM is above the 64MB
ceiling (or make it look like it's allocated to the Mac OS)?
Peace,
Drew

It involves soldering, but its a pretty easy soldering job.
