Hi, I'm new here and of course I have a problem. : / I just bought a used Powerbook 540c with 20 megs RAM and a 320 meg HD. Running System 7.5 I received the 540c today and it powered up just fine, nice bright screen, lots of cool programs to play with, etc... I played around with it for about 4

Howdee... To put it plain: I want to test out a HD-less 3400c I recently obtained, but all I have is a 2.5" HD already using OS 7.6.1 in a Powerbook 1400cs/183. Is it possible to simply put the 1400's HD in the 3400c, or are there OS issues that won't allow it? ALSO... the 3400c I have is the

With all due respect, I beg to differ. All the documentation that I have shows that filesharing via AppleTalk and the printer port proceeds at approximately 230K bps, and personal experience bears that out. Bob - Original Message - From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > File sharing

File sharing via appletalk/serial port runs at a whopping 300baud (that's 0.3kbs), which is why it's virtually impossible to use with any size.. check: www.powerbookguy.com www.wegenermedia.com www.shrevesystems.com THey would probably have them.. I'm guessing it's going to set you back $30-50

I always had good luck using two SCSI terminators to get a SCSI drive to work on a PB5300. One was a pass-through that you would connect the SCSI cable to, and then connect to the external drive (CD, HD, whatever).
