Just a simpleminded question for all you 3400 experts. After a moderate

It is absolutely essential that I get the right PRAM

amperage, and I don't want to purchase or install the
wrong one. Please, please help.

Thanks Gary. It would've helped if the 3400 had come with a manual ...
I'm a little embarrassed and very grateful. Thanks!

Just obtained a 3400c myself. Go to apple's webpage and download the
owner's manual and the tech manual in PDF format. The owner's manual

Does anyone know what type of battery the 3400/240 takes as its PRAM battery?
I can't find this information in the original user manual or the
take-apart manual.
Thanks,

Hello,
We had a discussion not long ago about re-packing battery packs in 1400's.
But what I would like to know, is if one goes to the trouble of having the
battery inside the battery pack replaced, is it not possible to put a
different type of battery in?? Like a Li-Ion for example. Anyone know

Hi everyone.
Bit of a problem with my 3400c. I tried upgrading the HD and managed to get
it in easily enough after buying the correct screwdrivers and all.
Put it all back together and turned it on. And...nothing! No noise, no
internal sounds like whirring, no lights or ANYTHING! Totally dead.

I was thinking of putting a left over hard drive from a Lombard in my

Also, I seem to remember reading that it is tricky to change hard

Hi Folks!
I'm new to powerbooks and this list and hope I can tap all your apparent
wisdom. I recently acquired an excellent loaded PB 3400/180, and would
