From the console, using QgsProject.instance().removeMaplayer(my_layer) removes
it from the legend tree, but doesn’t refresh the map canvas. Is this intended

I updated my PinPoint plugin for the sip v2 API and uploaded it. It didn't show
up in the "Get More" list until I changed my settings to show experimental
plugins. PinPoint is not flagged as experimental in metadata.txt
(experimental=False).

output = sys.stdout.get_and_clean_data()
to grab what was sent to stdout via print statements.
Is there an equivalent way to do this with the 2.0 API? I'm not seeing it...

The site still needs some work and is not ready for general use. I can publish
your plugin but until all plugins are migrated and the official repo changed
over, it won't be visible to the plugin installer in qgis.
