For those of you messing with the Raspberry Pi who are new to Linux, the
current issue of PC Format has a 16 page Linux 4 Noons [sic] feature.
I'm a linux admin by trade and it looks like it should be pretty good
for a beginner.

Be careful with that - If I remember correctly there are two composite
outs on the QL monitor socket - one is colour, the other is mono.

I still haven't worked out how to get this to work, I am obviously
missing something somewhere and to be honest the documentation that is
supplied with the sources for SMSQ/E really isn't much use.
